This session is designed to equip special education resource teachers with the knowledge and tools to successfully implement the Fundations level K and 1 reading program for students who require specially designed instruction in reading skills. Teachers will explore the why behind the curriculum, how it relates to the science of reading and how it can meet the needs of students with reading disabilities. Teachers will spend time learning about how the program is structured and how to implement the program with a small group of students within existing school schedules.  
  • I am building knowledge about the Fundations Reading Program and how I can successfully implement this program with a group of students who need specially designed reading support.  
  •  I am learning how the Fundations Reading Program is structured and how it supports students with reading difficulties and incorporates the science of reading.
