This session will acquaint theatre teachers with resources available to strengthen the connections between global theatre and creating, performing, analyzing, and technical design.
This session focuses on aligning academic language from standards with clear, inclusive learning intentions. Participants will explore strategies for planning instruction that supports diverse learners, including English Learners and students with disabilities, using Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles. The session will also cover selecting accommodations that allow students to demonstrate proficiency without reducing rigor. Attendees will leave with practical tools to ensure all students can access and achieve academic success.
This session will revisit and expand historical resources that theatre teachers can use to strengthen connections with creating, performing, analyzing, and technical design standards.
